SC/ST Monitoring Committee has been formed in De Paul Institute of Science & Technology, Angamly to ensure the effective implementation of the reservation policy of Ministry of Human Resource Development,Govt of India.
To build a society wherein members of the target groups of the namely Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs) can lead productive and dignified lives, with all their basic needs being fulfilled, and where equal opportunities are ensured for the growth and development for SCs/STs and adequate support and opportunities are ensured for them.
The Mission of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is to empower its target groups, namely, (i) Scheduled Castes, (ii) Backward Classes, (iii) Persons with disabilities, (iv) Senior citizens and (v) Victims of alcoholism and substance abuse through programmes for educational, economic and social development and rehabilitation as appropriate.
