Outreach / Social Responsibility Programmes

The department organizes various outreach as well as social responsibility programmes for the students every year. The unique quality of an outreach & social responsibility program is that it provides students the ability to gather themselves in a unifying, team-building, hands-on practical activity that is fun and help the needy ones in the society. These programs aims to encourage the participation of the students in social development works and collaborate with community-based organizations and institutions in their efforts to promote loving, equitable, and humane society.

  • The department has been actively fostering a culture of social responsibility and community engagement through its impactful social outreach programs. Among these initiatives, the Nature Camp and Rural Camp stand out as exemplary efforts to provide first-year students with hands-on learning experiences beyond the traditional classroom setting. The Nature Camp immerses students in the beauty of nature, featuring activities such as nature walks, bird watching, and environmental workshops. This not only enhances environmental awareness but also encourages students to adopt sustainable practices. On the other hand, the Rural Camp, conducted in collaboration with local communities, focuses on understanding and addressing the specific needs of rural areas. Through skill development workshops and cultural exchange programs, students gain valuable insights into rural life and contribute to the empowerment of local communities. These programs not only strengthen the ties between the college and the community but also instill in students a profound sense of social responsibility, empathy, and a commitment to positive societal change
  • Also, the department organizes visits to old age homes and orphanages for all batches. These visits aim to provide students with firsthand experiences that go beyond the conventional academic curriculum. During visits to old age homes, students engage in meaningful interactions with senior citizens, offering companionship, organizing recreational activities, and gaining insights into the challenges faced by the elderly. Simultaneously, trips to orphanages foster a nurturing environment, with students participating in activities that bring joy and laughter to the lives of the children. These initiatives not only contribute to the well-being of the residents but also create a profound impact on the students, fostering compassion, empathy, and a heightened awareness of societal needs.
