iSTEP (international Student Exchange Program)

In order to provide a cross cultural exposure and a global perspective to the students, DiST School of management has developed an extensive International Students Exchange Program (iSTEP) in collaboration with De Paul University, Chicago. The life enriching experience is a part of MBA/MHRM program at Dist. This unique opportunity benefits the students through interaction with the large number of overseas students spending a term (usually in the month of December) at DiST or at De Paul University Chicago. iSTEP helps the students to gain independence and develop a global perspective on various worldly matters.

In 2013 iSTEP was conducted on December 12-18, on Comparative Law and Administration. Faculties from Chicago Dr. Ron Fernandes, Dr. B. Gilomen. and Dr. Vinay Raj R. and Mr Stalin A. from DiST were the main organizers. The total participants of the program were 23 (5 students from Chicago and 15 Students from DiST, Angamaly).

On August 25th Dr. Vinayraj R. went to Chicago for discussions with academicians of De Paul University, Chicago as a part of faculty exchange program.

In 2014 iSTEP was conducted in two phases- Global Learning Environment (GLE): online course on October 12,2014 with 12 students(2 MHRM and 12 MBA). The second phase was conducted on December 14-19, 2014 on Value Centered Leadership with 12 students. The program was coordinated by faculty of DiST : Dr. Viany Raj R, Mr. Stalin A, and Professor Patricia M. Bombard, Director: Vincent on Leadership: The Hay Project; Part-Time Faculty: School of Public Service, De Paul University, Chicago.

In 2016 October 28-November 14, 2 MHRM students,3 MBA students with one faculty member visited De Paul University, Chicgao and had done a certified program on American Institutions-Cross-Sectorial Issues. The program was coordinated by Stalin A. Asst. Professor, School of Management, DiST and Dr. Ronald Fernandes, Professor, SPS, De Paul University, Chicago.
