The teaching –learning activity of DiST School of management is optimized with the help of research activities. The department got M.Phil program in business studies from M.G. University during the year 2013. The program continued till 2016 with 24 dissertations works. The program discontinued in 2017 because of the new regulations from U.G.C. In addition to this school of management initiated consulting activities under DiST Management Consultancy Services during the year 2014. The first consulting work was for Beacon Power Systems. The project titled ‘A feasibility study for Beacon Power systems on Dealer Perception on Demand For Two Wheeler Battery Segments in Kerala’ was completed in September 2014. In addition to this MHRM students have one month summer internship program during the month of April/May whereas MBA students have a one month optional internship program. The faculty members of school of management have published around 60 papers in National and International Journals. Among them 6 are UGC referred journals. The number of presented papers in international conferences from school of management are 30. Out of the 12 faculty members 4 hold Ph.D degree and 6 members are research scholars.
