Mentoring

For the enhancement and advancement in the educational and personal growth of the student the social work department dedicates with utmost sincerity the mentoring programme to help the students to evolve into a developed professional.

The faculty members are also the mentors as they are familiar with the whereabouts of the students so that according to the situations, the type of help can be given to the students. Therefore, a relationship between mentor and student evolves out with time.

The department follows a mode of mentoring by allotting the students to each faculty during the course of study. We have 30 seats for the PG programme and 50 seats for the UG programme and these students have been apportioned to each faculty members as mentors. The students have been given the flexibility to approach as and when needed the guidance and help by the faculty members.

Separate case records are maintained by each faculty for each student which is purely confidential but if referrals are required the students are referred to the experts.

In the current year 2021-2022, the faculty members have been contributing the mentoring services to majority of the students of school of social work.
