Outreach / Social Responsibility Programmes

A social outreach programme is meant to provide services to populations that might not otherwise have access to them. To inculcate a sense of responsibility among the students towards society, the department takes the initiative to conduct many outreach programmes like visits to orphanages, old age homes, etc., and to provide them with necessities.

National Service Scheme (NSS)

NSS as a voluntary association aims at developing students' personalities through community service. It is beneficial both to the students and society at large. The Department has an active NSS wing which conducts multifarious activities on a regular basis, like the celebration of international yoga day, women’s day, blood donation day, etc. It also conducts a seven-day rural camp every year in the adopted villages as per the norms of the university, which helps to inculcate the value of selfless service among the NSS volunteers.
