About School of Computer Science

School of Computer Science had its beginning in 2002 with the objective of helping students to harvest the benefits of the IT revolution that swept through every facet of modern human life for the past two decades. Our whole effort is in helping students become Industry Ready while they complete their degree with flying colours. The curriculum is designed considering the current trends and changes taking place in the field of Information Technology and various application areas. Sessions combine theoretical studies with hands-on application in the computer laboratory.

Department has a team of efficient, experienced & dedicated faculty members who works for the academic and interpersonal skill development of the students. The overall development of students is ensured by the department through various orientation programmes, aptitude trainings, seminars & personality enhancement programmes.

Mission

The mission of the school is to persistently strive for achieving excellence in computing disciplines. Our programmes enable the students to be updated on the latest revolution in technology and equip them with the required skills and knowledge to be industry ready. The sustained effort is to produce computing graduates with potential to design and develop systems involving the integration of software and hardware devices. A sound understanding of mathematical ideas is needed throughout the degree, both for potential applications such as scientific computation and for reasoning rigorously about the specification and behaviour of programs. Practical skills must also be developed and the majority of subjects within the course are linked with practical works that assure academic excellence.

Quality Objectives

We strive to build a young generation of professionals with intellectual, social, ethical, and spiritual excellence and instil in them the impulse to transform into versatile and socially committed IT experts and entrepreneurs.
