  • The School of Media and Communication (PG Journalism) in association with 24 News Channel conducted an industrial interaction with media students on October 11, 2022 as part of placement drive. Popular news anchor of 24 news channel, Ms. Sujaya Parvathy S interacted with media students. Ms. Sujaya told the media students that passion is important for working in journalism. Students asked about the new trends in media, pressures of the job, politcal stand of a journalist etc.
  • The School of Media and Communication (Journalism) in association with University of Salford, Manchaster- UK, organised an academic interaction at 2.30 pm on October 6, 2022. In collaboration with Choice study exchange institute, representatives of University of Salford, Manchester interacted with the media students. Students of Journalism and Multimedia participated in the event. Ms. Sara Hadwin, HoD – Journalism and Senior Lecturer explained about the media courses in University of Salford campus.
  • The School of media & Communication (Multimedia) conducted a workshop on “Radio Production Techniques” by Mrs.Anuja Das for BA Multimedia 20 Students on 18th July 2022. Discussion and practical classes were held on Radio production techniques, this session helped the students in the academic project of Electronic Journalism.
  • The School of Media & Communication (Multimedia) conducted a 1-day Workshop on product photography by Mr Biju Rehman for BA Multimedia 21 students on 14th June 2022. Discussion and informative classes were held on different product lighting techniques in commercial photography.
  • School of Media and Communication (Animation) in association with IQAC conducted a One day Workshop on the topic “Augment Reality & Virtual Reality on 28th February 2022. The resource person for the event was Manas VR Lab. Around 30 students from BA Animation 2019 and BA Animation 2020 batch attended the workshop.
  • The School of Media and Communication (Journalism) organised a two-day Advertising webinar on ‘A Space in advertising Industry’ on September 9 and 10, 2021. Students of PG Journalism of MAJMC 2020 batch, MA Multimedia and UG students of BA ECJ, School of English participated in the seminar. The resource person – Jithin Kalarickal, CEO, Motion Sketch Studio discussed about the latest trends in advertising agency.
  • The School of Media & Communication (Multimedia) conducted a one day webinar “Cinematography Master Class” by famous cinematographer Mr Sunny joseph. BA MM & MA MM students attended this workshop. Discussions were held on different framing methods and lighting patterns.
  • The School of Media and Communication (Journalism), DiST organised a National Webinar titled “Administrative challenges of Government owned media, Doordarshan, in the 21st Century” on 30 September 2021 at 10:00 am. The spokesperson for the event was R Rajendran, News Producer, DD Trivandrum. The webinar was attended by 84 participants from across India and three international participants from Cambodia and Philippines.
  • The School of Media & Communication (Multimedia) organized and conducted a Webinar on “Entrepreneurship in Media Industry” in association with IQAC on 18th March 2021. Think Dots Media Productions CEO Aiswarya Pramod was the resource person. Total 95 participants (including faculties & students) from Multimedia, Animation & Journalism participated in the Webinar.
  • The School of Media & Communication (Animation) conducted a one day workshop “Animation Workshop” by Senior Animator Mr Prathik P.G on 24th April 2021. BA Animation students attended this workshop. Discussions were held on different topics like- job opportunities, areas to be focused, animation and its scope and animation industry needs. Around 60 students along with faculties attended the session.
  • The School of Media & Communication (Multimedia) organized & conducted a Webinar & an Alumni talk on “Opportunities & Trends in Media” in association with IQAC on 19th March 2021. Eduframes Managing Director Jithu George was the resource person. Total 95 participants (including faculties & students) from Multimedia, Animation & Journalism participated in the Webinar.
