Study Tour/Industrial Visits

School of Media and Communication (PG Journalism) organised a two-day industrial visit to Chitranjali Studio, Trivandrum from December 16, 2022 to December 17, 2022. Students of PG Journalism of MA JMC 2021 batch along with two faculties - Dr. Nirmal Jacob, HoD, School of Media and Communication and Assistant Professor Jubbi Francis Kalukkaran accompanied the students for the industrial visit. The journey started on December 16, 2022 by 10.30 am and reached Trivandrum at 7.30 pm. On December 17, 2022, at 9 am the group reached Chitranjali Studio, Trivandrum. The studio-in-charge gave a tour of the various shooting locales in the studio as well as gave a guided lecture tour of the various facilities available there. Students got a chance to understand the various steps in film production – pre production, production and post production. They got the opportunity to enhance their knowledge in dubbing, foley, editing, colour correction etc. The industrial visit ended by 2.30 pm.

School of Media and Communication (Animation) conducted an INDUSTRIAL VISIT to KERALA SAHITYA ACADEMY on November 18, 2022 for BA Animation VFX 2022 students. There were classes and seminar led by eminent personalities in the field of animation and visual arts in the academy. Students got many information regarding the art forms and production pipeline process in the field of animation film making.

School of Media and Communication (PG Journalism) organised a one-day Industrial visit in Hill Palace, Thripunithura on August 17, 2022. Students of PG Journalism of MA JMC 2020 & 2021 batches and two faculties, Assistant Professor, Anuja Das P M and Dr. Nirmal Jacob accompanied the students for the industrial visit. PG Journalism students were given an opportunity to learn the archives of Malayalam printing and linguistics.

School of Media and Communication (PG Journalism) organised a one-day Industrial interaction with Goodness TV channel and its sister concern Divine Printers, Muringoor on August 16, 2022. Students and faculties visited the media channel in Muringoor. Siby Vallooran, General Manager, Goodness TV interacted with the students of PG Journalism of MA JMC 2020 & 2021 batches.

School of Media and Communication (Animation) conducted an INDUSTRIAL VISIT to Durbar Exhibition Hall on August 08, 2022 for BA Animation & VFX 2021 BA Animation & VFX 2020 students. The aim of the exhibition was to understand the process of developing an art form right form the idea to a complete project. Art works of Asst. Prof Anil K.V was exhibited in the hall.

School of Media & Communication (Multimedia) visited the Photo Fest 2022 held at Adlux International convention centre, Angamaly on 24 June 2022. fourty six students from the department along with 4 faculties were part of the visit. Photo fest, organised by all Kerala photographer’s association is an important fest for the media aspirants. The fest brought great opportunity for the students to understand various camera gadgets and equipment.
