Basic photography Workshop

The School of media & Communication (Multimedia) conducted a Workshop on basic photography on 23rd November 2022 by Canon technical trainer Mr. Vinod Lal for BA Multimedia 22 Batch. The sessions were included basic camera operations, menu details, and different modes in DSLR etc.

Industrial Training Programme

The School of Media & Communication (Multimedia) conducted one week industrial training programme from 14th November 2022 to 19th November 2022 by South Indian Film Academy for BA Multimedia 20 & MA Multimedia 22 student. The sessions were included script writing, elements of direction, editing techniques, colour grading etc. The practical session helped students think critically about the aspects of film making. The discussions and interaction were really helpful for the participants to know more about the creation of a movie.

Outdoor Sketching Workshop

The School of Media and Communication (Animation) conducted an Outdoor Sketching Workshop for BA Animation & VFX 2022 students on October 26th, 2022. The classes were led by department faculty Mr. Anil K.V. The students were taken to Ezhattumugham specially to study the tips and sketching techniques about landscape drawing. Students had a wonderful experience in adopting this kind of teaching methods and they all gave excellent feedback regarding the workshop.

Video Production Workshop

The School of Media & Communication (Multimedia) conducted a 1-day Workshop on video production by Mr Saji babu for BA Multimedia 21 & MA Multimedia 22 students on October 21, 2022. Discussion and informative classes were held on digital video production.

Visual News Stories Workshop

A three-day Visual News Workshop was held on September 29 & 30, October 07, 2022 at the DSMAC studio organised by School of Media and Communication (Journalism), DiST, Angamaly. The resource person for the workshop was Assistant Professor Abhilash K and Maria, Faculty, School of Media and Communication, DiST. The classes included basic camera operations and settings. As a part of the workshop students were also taken to Mattanchery, Kochi. Students received hands on training in developing and making visual news stories.

Film Direction Workshop

The School of Media & Communication (Multimedia) conducted 2- Day Workshop on Film Direction on 16th- 17th of August 2022 by Film Director and script writer Mr. Meccartin for BA Multimedia 20 Batch. The sessions were included script writing, elements of direction, and editing techniques etc. The practical session ought to help students think critically about the aspects of film making.

Storyboard Making Workshop

The School of Media and Communication (Journalism) organised a One-day Storyboard Making workshop on August 23, 2022 for the MA JMC 2021 batch. The resource person for the workshop was Assistant Prof. Aneesh Gokul, Faculty, Multimedia, School of Media and Communication, DiST. The classes included introduction to storyboard making on the perspective of advertising.

Magazine Journalism Workshop

The School of Media and Communication (Journalism) organised a Magazine Journalism workshop for MAJMC 20 and 21 students on 12th August 2022. The resource person was Mr. Giby Joseph, Deputy Manager, Circulation, Mathrubhumi. Topics such as Special issue and supplements, Economics and Business of magazine publishing, factors of competition, Planning and Launching a magazine, Readership survey etc. were discussed.

Clay Modelling Workshop

The School of Media and Communication (Animation) conducted a 3-day clay modelling workshop for BA Animation & VFX 2020 students from July 13-16, 2022. The classes were led by famous sculptor and artist Anil B Krishna. The workshop was conducted for the students to get familiar with clay and the process of developing clay models and it was conducted in class no 303. Students got many information and rectified many queries regarding many areas in clay model King and the usage of clay.
